Jami Templeton – Vocals Joel Frahm – Saxophone Andy Langham – Piano Ryan Hagler – Bass Daniel Dufour – Drums Jami Templeton is a jazz vocalist known for her beauty of tone, swing, and the uniquely heartfelt way she engages her audiences. A native of the Pacific Northwest, Jami Templeton split her youth between classical and jazz studies. From the age of 12 years old, she studied classical voice with Margot Israels, the wife of legendary jazz bassist, Chuck Israels. While privately studying classical voice, she spent her lunchtime and after school hours studying jazz with award-winning vocal jazz director and arranger Dale Mattson. By the time Jami was 20 years old, she had already been awarded the encouragement award from the Metropolitan Opera. She went on to attend the International Institute of Vocal Arts in Chiari Italy, and Manhattan School of Music where she studied with master voice teacher, Trish McCaffrey. Upon returning to NYC in adult years, Jami’s passion for jazz resurfaced and the pull was undeniable, as she became a staple in the NYC and Los Angeles Jazz Scenes. In 2022, Jami independently released her debut jazz album to critical acclaim, charting in the US for 17 weeks, and reaching the top 10 in Canadian College Radio. Jami Templeton’s album “Shape of My Heart” featured arrangements by Templeton, and pianist and producer, Andy Langham. Joel Frahm was featured on tenor saxophone, with Edwin Livingston on bass and Charles Ruggiero on drums.
