Join us for a live taping and listening-room concert for the Shawnda Birch Quintet! Shawnda Birch - Vocals Andre Hayward - Trombone Ross Margitza - Piano Chris Jones - Double Bass Terrance McDaniel - Drums Shawnda has had the honor of singing with the ACC Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Steven Sodders, formerly under the direction of Tom Husak, as well the Austin Jazz Workshop for many years. She has also performed at renowned venues in and around the Austin area. She performs recurrently with Chris Jones and the Ichiro jazz quartet. Her rich, velvety vocals have been described as "chocolatey" with the power to pull you in and hold you close. She possesses a swing style that rivals the best in the business. Please Note: This is a live-taping, so we'll be enforcing a whisper-policy! Cold bottles of still and sparkling water will be available for purchase, but this event is BYOB. Ice will be available if needed, wine keys and 9oz cups provided! 22 free parking spaces onsite are first-come-first-serve.
