Presented by The Jazz Purveyor, join us with your questions on topics related to bass, practice, musicianship, ensemble performance, studio recording, and life as a working bassist. This class will run between 2 to 3 PM. About Boris Kozlov: 3x Grammy award-winning acoustic and electric bassist, composer, and arranger, has been on the New York and International jazz scene for over four decades. His artistry has been captured on over 300 albums, including 15 Grammy-nominated. Leader of solo projects, co-leader of OPUS 5 and Out To Dinner, he has also served as bassist, arranger, and musical director for The Mingus Dynasty projects for the last 28 years. His arrangements have been published by Hal Leonard and performed all over the world. A first call bassist for Michael Brecker, John Blake, Ray Barretto, Eddie Palmieri/Bryan Lynch, Charles McPherson, The Manhattan Transfer, Alex Sipiagin, Ralph Peterson, Robin Eubanks, Jean Michel Pilc, Donny McCaslin, Ronnie Cuber, and many others. His selected discography also includes albums with Arturo O'Farrill, Lew Tabackin, David Kikoski, Conrad Herwig, Bobby Sanabria, Jack Walrath, Terry Gibbs, Jaleel Shaw, Clark Gayton, and more. Kozlov is a Posi-Tone Recording Artist since 2017, with endorsements from Fodera Guitars NYC, Eastman Instruments and Gallien-Krueger Amplifiers.
