In that time, he led his own Baker’s Dozen Big Band for eight years at the Elephant Room and recorded the cd “Goes to Eleven”, and has played in numerous other jazz ensembles including the Tony Campise big band, the Monster big band, Christian Wiggs Big Band, Bob Meyer Concept Orchestra, Paul White Acoustic Mayhem, John Mills’ Times Ten, and Beto and the Fairlanes. Other artists Paul has had the great fortune to appear with include, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Nancy Wilson, Lou Rawls, Bill Watrous, Jack Sheldon, Tom Kubis, Kim Richmond, and many more. As a composer/arranger and publisher, Paul currently owns Baker’s Jazz And More, a music publishing and retail company founded in 2006. To date, Paul’s charts have earned approximately 90 Editor’s Choice awards from national retailer J.W.Pepper and this music is played by thousands of bands around the country and around the world.
