Bobby Noble is the Spritely Soul Singer of Playful Valley.

Bobby has opened for inspirational comedian Kyle Cease, and was invited to open for their two day event "Evolving Out Loud" at the Alex Theatre in Glendale, California. He studied jazz and classical vocals at Western Michigan University under Duane Davis. He spent his 20s performing aboard cruise ships, bouncing around every conceivable act, and his 30s finds him enveloped in multiple jazz and songwriting projects around Austin. He recently opened for Elena Diaz and performed as a vocalist in the Drew Simpson Band.

Growing up, Bobby’s Mom and older sister were constantly singing - and as a 2-year-old, Bobby would frantically run away to escape his loud family! The story goes that despite this dubious start, Bobby eventually quit running and started singing along! Even if the family didn't know all the words, improvisation always carried them through any tune. Bobby still explores compositions with the childlike whimsy of his upbringing, and invites audiences to the surprises waiting on the periphery of every unexpected phrase.

While his approach remains playful, Bobby is also drawn to the mythic arrangements of artists such as Kurt Elling and Robert Glasper. In his quest to explore his two musical sides and see how they interact, Bobby invites his audiences to join him in the mystery that is the spirit of music made manifest in every note. Bobby believes everyone should be free to sing and play - in whatever form it takes - and he works to create a space where everyone feels invited into the music.

He and his wife Crystal Smith are hard at work preparing their debut album “FlOwUpTuOuS” for release- a project full of lover’s harmony! Bobby is also band leader for “The Little Gospel Wedding Band” and teaches at the Austin School of Music.
