Join us for a live taping and listening-room concert for Sam Songs: The Music of Buddy Childers! Sam Dimov - Trombone Mike Sailors - Trumpet Milo Hehmsoth - Piano Liam O’Dell - Bass Joshua Berry - Drums & Cymbals A native to the Philadelphia region, Sam Dimov started playing trombone at age 9. He won a position with the 287th Army Band at 16 and served with the Delaware National Guard for 10 years. During this time, Sam earned his Bachelor’s in Jazz Performance from Temple University, played with various jazz, funk, and bluegrass bands in Philadelphia, and taught music lessons in both private and school studios.  Sam recently moved to Austin, TX, where he quickly became an in-demand freelance trombonist while continuing to work on his own jazz projects. He self-released his debut album “All Day Affair” in May 2024. Sam earned his Master’s in Jazz Studies from UT Austin. During his time there, he witnessed changes brought about by community, discipline, and collective growth, and has devoted himself to supporting those values through his music. Sam is a B.A.C. Performing Artist and plays a B.A.C.
