Join us for a live taping and listening-room concert for the Paul Klemperer Quartet! Paul Klemperer - Saxophones David Webb - Piano Chris Jones - Bass Aaron Parks - Drums Based in Austin, Texas, saxophonist Paul Klemperer plays an eclectic mix of jazz, blues, American popular music and world music. As a performer and bandleader he tours nationally and internationally. He also has a masters degree in ethnomusicology (University of Texas), teaches private and group classes, hosts a monthly Community Jazz Jam, and produces concerts and workshops through his nonprofit Creative SEA. Paul’s varied musical experience began in Boston, MA, where he studied with such jazz greats as Ray Copeland, Archie Shepp and Max Roach. Moving to Texas in 1982, Paul became a fixture in the Austin jazz and blues circuit, touring with renowned artists like Marcia Ball and Malford Milligan, and has opened for world-class artists such as BB King, The Neville Brothers, Ray Charles, Larry Carlton, and James Brown. A prolific composer, Paul has released 5 albums of original music. Please Note: This is a live-taping, so we'll be enforcing a whisper-policy! Cold bottles of still and sparkling water will be available for purchase, but this event is BYOB.
