Join us for a live taping and listening-room concert for the David Chao Quartet: Songs That Inspire Hope! David Chao - Piano Eric Hargett - Saxophone Ben Triesch - Bass Daniel Sanchez - Drums With special guest vocalists: Jennie Chao Wayland Chao David Chao is a multifaceted pianist and composer based in Austin, Texas. This performance will explore themes of inspiration and hope, including the debut of two original compositions. Artist Statement: When we feel overwhelmed, the good news is that music can inspire a profound feeling of HOPE: a clear-eyed recognition that we live in a flawed world, that sometimes things will get worse before they get better, but it’s still worth fighting the good fight. It’s worth forging onward. We’ll spend an hour or so together, and I’ll share some songs that evoke all kinds of hope, including two new compositions. With any luck, you’ll walk out the door feeling a little bit lighter, and a little bit more determined to jump into the fray. Please Note: This is a live-taping, so we'll be enforcing a whisper-policy! Cold bottles of still and sparkling water will be available for purchase, but this event is BYOB.
