Aaron Easley - Drums Carter Arrinton - Guitar Matt Read - Guitar Billy Satterwhite - Bass For over 20 years, Aaron Easley has been one of the most in-demand drummers in Austin, Texas. His regular projects include the Kenny Williams Quartet, Double Vision with John Mills and Hank Hemsoth, the Tony Bray/Toro Flores Quintet, Kevin Flatt and Friends, and the Urban Achievers Brass Band. He’s also performed and recorded with some of Austin’s finest musicians, including Adrian Ruiz, Gabriel Santiago, Andre Hayward, Ephraim Owens, Mitch Watkins, Elias Haslanger, Alex Coke, Rich Harney, Tony Campise, Jeff Hellmer, and John Fremgen.  Aaron is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the jazz department at Austin Community College, and has worked with some of the most prestigious High School and Middle School music programs across Central Texas. Drumlines under his instruction have won both the PASIC and Lone Star drumline competitions, and his private students have achieved Texas All-State honors in Jazz Band, Concert Band, and Orchestra. A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and New York University, he’s studied with such jazz icons as Ari Hoenig, John Scofield, Chris Potter, Wayne Krantz, Jean-Michael Pilc, and Brannen Temple. Carter Arrington’s lifetime of professional live performance and academic training has made him one of the most sought-after guitarists in Austin. Growing up in Roanoke, Virginia, Carter discovered the guitar at age twelve, and his passion for music solidified during a trip to Berklee’s summer guitar sessions in Boston. Later, in Atlanta, he attended the Atlanta Institute of Music while still in high school and eventually taught classes there. Moving to Austin in 2003 to attend The University of Texas, he immersed himself in the city’s vibrant live music scene, balancing study, instruction, and performance. Driven and dedicated, Carter Arrington continues to make music the center of his life, earning a reputation for excellence in every endeavor. Matt Read is an Austin, TX based guitarist, composer and private instructor. Matt began his professional career at the age of 16 while recording a guest solo on the track “Brave New World” by Dallas based band Blu Shale. Matt would soon be asked to join that band and play shows around the Dallas/Ft. Worth area for several years. At the age of 19 he started teaching privately at The Master’s Touch School of Music in Grapevine, TX while also studying jazz guitar at The University of North Texas under guitarists Joe Lee and Fred Hamilton. In 2009 Matt was awarded a scholarship to study at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. Matt studied composition, arranging, and jazz guitar with guitarists Tim Miller, Julian Lage, and other outstanding faculty members. Now residing in Austin, TX for over 10 years, Matt has established himself as an in demand guitarist and teacher known for his outstanding tone, time, taste, and professionalism. Matt is also proud to be a Collings Guitars artist. Billy Satterwhite is regarded as one of the top call double bassists for Jazz and Improvised music in Central Texas. Born and Raised in Houston, he found a love for the Double Bass late in his teenage years, and quickly dove head first into Jazz and Classical music. He studied Jazz and Improvisation at Texas State University and The University of Michigan, where he studied with legendary Detroit bassist Robert Hurst and the late great pianist Geri Allen. He arrived in Austin in 2012, establishing his roots in the local music scene. In addition to performing Billy is passionate about teaching, and as one of the few Suzuki Method trained double bass instructors in Texas he has helped students from ages 5 to 50+ find joy in playing the bass.
