Joshua Jaime - Alto/Tenor Saxophone James Rubino - Piano/Tenor Saxophone Jonathan Portillo - Guitar Cris Carrera - Bass Israel Yanez - Drums Joshua Jaime is a senior saxophonist at Texas State University originally from Houston. As a child he grew up listening to the likes of Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Micheal Jackson, among others and took his inspiration to music and saxophone at age 9. As a young musician he was mentored by the likes of Johnny Gonzalez, Jesse Espinosa, Erik Leon, and Dan Ferreira who taught Joshua the foundations of musicianship. Now as a young musician he is inspired by the music of Kenny Garrett, Mark Turner, Cedar Walton, and John Coltrane and under the wing of Joel Frahm. When Jaime performs, he strives for the emotion and drama that his musical inspirations achieve. Please Note: This is a live-taping, so we'll be enforcing a whisper-policy! Cold bottles of still and sparkling water will be available for purchase, but this event is BYOB.
